8.4 fl. oz (250ml) GURU energy drink

If you’re thinking of switching to naturally derived products like GURU, then you’ve made the right option. GURU is a Canadian-based energy drink that’s widely available across the globe.

Compared to other conventional energy beverages in the market, GURU is certified organic, with USDA organic seals on all of its products. It’s also Non-GMO Project Verified, which is a more stringent accreditation that ensures the brand employs plant-based ingredients and is GMO-free.

Guarana seed extract, tea seed extract, and Panax ginseng root extract, all of which contain naturally occurring caffeine, are among their active ingredients.

I know you’re curious to learn more so keep reading as we take an in-depth look at this GURU energy drink.

Let’s get started.

What is Guru Energy Drink?

Guru Energy Drink is a natural and organic energy drink option. Unlike many conventional energy drinks on the market, Guru claims to use natural ingredients in its formulation. It incorporates ingredients such as green tea extract, guarana, and echinacea, which are known for their potential health benefits.

Guru Energy Drink’s emphasis on natural ingredients and organic sourcing may appeal to individuals who prioritize healthier beverage choices. However, it’s important to note that energy drinks, including those marketed as natural or organic, still contain caffeine and other stimulants.

What are the reviews of Guru Energy Drink?

Guru Energy Drink has garnered predominantly positive reviews from consumers. One of the key aspects that resonate with users is its commitment to natural and organic ingredients. With components like green tea, guarana, and echinacea, Guru offers an appealing alternative to other energy drinks on the market.

Reviews of Guru Energy Drink often highlight its clean ingredient list and the absence of artificial additives or excessive sugar. This aspect has resonated with health-conscious consumers seeking an energy drink that aligns with their dietary preferences. Many reviewers have reviewed an increase in focus and alertness after consuming Guru.

GURU Energy Drink Caffeine Content

The caffeine content of one serving of an 8.4 fl. oz GURU Energy drink is 100mg. I believe that this amount of caffeine is sufficient to keep you alert and energized.

When compared to Red Bull, which only has 80mg of caffeine per 8.4 fl. oz, the caffeine content of the GURU energy drink is quite significant.

It doesn’t, however, exceed the FDA‘s suggested maximum dose of 400mg. So there’s no need to be anxious; as long as you don’t drink more than one can per day, you’ll be okay.

Consuming caffeine in low to moderate quantities isn’t harmful. In fact, this study found out that moderate caffeine use had the following benefits:

  • Improves physical endurance
  • Enhance cognitive function
  • Increase alertness and concentration
  • Boost mood and reaction
  • Lower the risk of fatigue
  • Lower the risk of oral cancer
  • Lower the risk of strokes for older women

Is GURU Energy Drink Sugar-Free?

GURU Energy Drink includes 21g of organic cane sugar per 8.4 fl oz. Organic cane is healthful since it goes through the least amount of processing.

As a result, the nutrients contained in the sugar cane are preserved. It’s high in minerals and vitamins, both of which are good for your health.

This is a bit alarming since it’s very close to the recommended daily sugar intake set by the AHA.

According to the AHA, the recommended sugar intake must not exceed to 25g (100 calories) for women and 36g or a maximum of 150 calories for men.

Consuming sugar isn’t harmful as long as you’re conscious of your sugar intake limits. According to this study, our brain requires roughly 400 grams of glucose per day to function properly. It serves as fuel for our brain, providing it with the energy it requires on a regular basis.

It also has a number of benefits, such as:

  • Give you a surge of energy
  • Improve your mood
  • Enhance your concentration

However, you should also note that excessive consumption of sugar might lead to public health concerns.

For more information, see my top list of sugar-free energy beverages here.

Is GURU Energy Drink Calorie-Free?

An 8 fl oz can of GURU energy drink contains 80 calories.

This is a fairly small quantity when compared to Red Bull, which has 110 calories per 8.4-ounce serving, and Monster, which has 200 calories per 16-ounce serving.

You should note that the calorie count of the GURU energy drinks doesn’t pose any health risk as long as you consume them in moderation.

The only way it can harm you (like making you gain weight) is if you consume them too much while doing nothing to burn it off.

If you’re following a diet, I believe this amount won’t affect you that much, unless you’re consuming more than 1 can of it and/or ingesting calories from other sources.

The NHS recommends a daily calorie intake of 2,000 calories for women and 2,500 calories for males.

If you want to learn more about calorie-free energy drinks, I’ve put together a comprehensive list here.

What Happens When You Drink GURU Energy Drink?

GURU energy drink is one of the best energy drinks that I’ve ever tasted so far. It doesn’t only quench my caffeine demands but also gives me the surge of energy I need for work.

I usually grab a couple of them whenever I feel tired or drained after long hours at work, and consume at least one can per day. It usually takes 20-30 minutes to kick in based on what I’ve experienced. It also feels light on the stomach.

I love how the brand combines naturally occurring caffeine in its ingredients (Guarana seed extract, tea seed extract, and Panax ginseng root extract) to give a more natural boost.

Moreover, Organic Echinacea and Ginseng are among GURU’s natural constituents, both of which are known to provide antioxidants, immunological support, and increased physical and mental vitality.

Though it’ll give you a light buzz effect, it wasn’t like the jump-off-a-cliff feeling that many synthetic energy drinks provide.

Remember to drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.

Can You Drink GURU Energy Drink Every Day?

As long as you take it sensibly, you can drink a GURU energy drink every day.

Keep in mind that the GURU energy drink is not a substitute for water and shouldn’t be used to replace all of your daily fluid intakes.

Consuming an energy drink on a daily basis is not recommended for everyone, especially children, pregnant women, and caffeine-sensitive individuals.

If you want to avoid caffeine-related health problems, I suggest limiting yourself to one can per day.

It’s best to consume them just when you’re convinced that they’re actually necessary or if you’re in urgent need of a caffeine boost.

Thanks to its powerful ingredients such as Guarana seed extract, tea seed extract, Panax Ginseng seed extract, and organic Echinacea which are proven to improve concentration and physical performance.

What Does GURU Energy Drink Taste Like?

It tastes like carbonated water, but it’s sweeter because of the cane sugar.

It includes a well-balanced blend of organic fruit juices. The flavor, on the other hand, will differ based on what kind of flavor you select.

Personally, I like the original version. Based on my experience, it has a similar flavor to carbonated water, except it’s sweeter and tingles your tongue. It’s also a lot healthier.

I, on the other hand, love to drink it cold. With a touch of cane sugar, it provides a refreshing sensation and a nice taste.

Don’t consume it after 4 p.m. Unless you want to stay up at night.

The original GURU energy drink will always be my favorite since it’s not heavy on the stomach. However, I recommend that you try a variety of flavors to find the one that best suits you.
