Absolutely! Rockstar has a lot of B Vitamins, including Vitamins B – 3, 5, 6, and 12. I know the term vitamins sound healthy.
But are these vitamin amounts secure our health?
Vitamin B3
To function normally, everyone requires a certain amount of niacin obtained from food or supplements. This is known as the dietary reference intake (DRI), replacing the older, more familiar RDA (recommended daily allowance).
The DRIs for niacin vary with age and other factors and are expressed in milligrams of niacin equivalents:
- Children: 2-16 milligrams per day, depending on the age
- Men: 16 milligrams per day
- 14 milligrams per day for women
- Pregnant women: 18 milligrams daily
- 17 milligrams per day for women (breastfeeding).
- Adults of all ages should consume no more than 35 milligrams per day.
Vitamin B5
Vitamin B5 is an essential nutrient found naturally in some foods, added to others and available as a dietary supplement.
The Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) for men and women aged 19 and up is 5 mg per day. During pregnancy and lactation, the amount increases to 6 mg and 7 mg daily, respectively.

The daily recommended dietary allowances (RDAs) of vitamin B6 are:

Well, seeing the B6 amount on Rockstar, it has a high dose of B6 Vitamins. It clearly shows that it’s the recommended intake for Males over 50 years old and is suitable for pregnant women.
Although there are many factors that Rockstar and other energy drinks are not suitable for pregnant women. This is only the Vitamin B6 daily requirement.
Vitamin B12
The RDA for vitamin B12 is calculated based on the amount required to maintain hematological status and normal serum vitamin B12 levels.
The recommended intake is based on a 50% absorption assumption. The RDA for vitamin B12 for adults is 2.4 g/day.
Rockstar’s Vitamin B12 amount is just right since they all have the same amount per serving.
But stating that there’s no way only an energy drink is your source of B12 vitamins, I think the amount can’t be good and might be dangerous when taken too much.
Is Rockstar a good energy drink?
Reading the sugar amount of Rockstar, don’t drink this if you have diabetes.
Many people condemn energy drinks as unhealthy and they may be in some ways.
But I would argue that this is due to drinking too many in a single day (too much of anything can be harmful) or drinking too much if you aren’t used to high caffeine levels.
If you’re not used to caffeine, begin slowly and in moderation – and proceed with caution if you have any underlying medical conditions.

Yes, both vegetarians and vegans can consume Rockstar Energy Drink. Rockstar contains synthetic taurine that is not derived from animals.
The taurine is artificial, which means there are no animal products in the natural flavors. Caramel color is typically vegan and milk thistle is a plant (which you may not know if you haven’t heard of it before).
So far, everything appears to be in order. As long as whoever wrote that statement on their website is correct, Rockstar is vegan.

Unlike many other flavors and competitors who use aspartame and acesulfame-K. Rockstar uses 63g per serving of natural sugar.
It’s too high when reading it, for AHA (American Heart Association) suggests an added sugar limit from 24 to 36 grams of sugar per day.

Rockstar energy drink has 250 calories per 473ml of serving. This is based on the 2,000 daily calorie intake, which we need to be energized.

Caffeine in energy drinks may last up to 5 hours, dividing the effect of Caffeine amount into halves.
So if you have 100mg of caffeine in your body, you’ll be flushing half of it after five hours, remaining 50mg of caffeine for the next 5 hours.
Rockstar has 160mg of caffeine per can. let’s have a little Math here:
As you drink the whole can of Rockstar, you’ll be consuming 160mg of caffeine. Therefore after 5 hours, you’ll still have 80mg of caffeine.
80mg of caffeine may take another set of hours before dividing its half-life into 40mg, and the division continues. Wow! It will take you a day to flush out all the caffeine from Rockstar.
So beware if you have trouble sleeping because Rockstar can ROCK your sleep!
