Key Attributes of Rockstar Energy Drink
The motto of Rockstar Energy Drink, which is based in Las Vegas, is “Party Like a Rock Star,” and the drink certainly lives up to the name. We’re sure you’ll agree with its tall can and potent flavor.
The use of the Star design on the can is great. Actually, the entire package is fantastic!
It gives me the impression that when you drink it, you feel fantastic in everything you do.
I know it sounds like I’m already promoting this drink. But let’s get into the nitty-gritty.
Does Rockstar Energy Drink Have Vitamins?
Absolutely! Rockstar has a lot of B Vitamins, including Vitamins B – 3, 5, 6, and 12. I know the term vitamins sound healthy.
But are these vitamin amounts secure our health?
To function normally, everyone requires a certain amount of niacin obtained from food or supplements. This is known as the dietary reference intake (DRI), replacing the older, more familiar RDA (recommended daily allowance).
The DRIs for niacin vary with age and other factors and are expressed in milligrams of niacin equivalents:
- Children: 2-16 milligrams per day, depending on the age
- Men: 16 milligrams per day
- 14 milligrams per day for women
- Pregnant women: 18 milligrams daily
- 17 milligrams per day for women (breastfeeding).
- Adults of all ages should consume no more than 35 milligrams per day.
Vitamin B5 is an essential nutrient found naturally in some foods, added to others and available as a dietary supplement.
The Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) for men and women aged 19 and up is 5 mg per day. During pregnancy and lactation, the amount increases to 6 mg and 7 mg daily, respectively.
The daily recommended dietary allowances (RDAs) of vitamin B6 are:
- Infants 0-6 months, 0.1 mg
- Infants 7-12 months, 0.3 mg
- Children 1-3 years, 0.5 mg
- Children 4-8 years, 0.6 mg
- Children 9-13 years, 1 mg
- Males 14-50 years, 1.3 mg
- Males over 50 years, 1.7 mg
- Females 14-18 years, 1.2 mg
- Females 19-50 years, 1.3 mg
- Females over 50 years, 1.5 mg
- Pregnant women, 1.9 mg; and
- Breast-feeding women, 2 mg
Well, seeing the B6 amount on Rockstar, it has a high dose of B6 Vitamins. It clearly shows that it’s the recommended intake for Males over 50 years old and is suitable for pregnant women.
Although there are many factors that Rockstar and other energy drinks are not suitable for pregnant women. This is only the Vitamin B6 daily requirement.
The RDA for vitamin B12 is calculated based on the amount required to maintain hematological status and normal serum vitamin B12 levels.
The recommended intake is based on a 50% absorption assumption. The RDA for vitamin B12 for adults is 2.4 g/day.
Rockstar’s Vitamin B12 amount is just right since they all have the same amount per serving.
But stating that there’s no way only an energy drink is your source of B12 vitamins, I think the amount can’t be good and might be dangerous when taken too much.
Is Rockstar a good energy drink?
Reading the sugar amount of Rockstar, don’t drink this if you have diabetes.
Many people condemn energy drinks as unhealthy and they may be in some ways.
But I would argue that this is due to drinking too many in a single day (too much of anything can be harmful) or drinking too much if you aren’t used to high caffeine levels.
If you’re not used to caffeine, begin slowly and in moderation – and proceed with caution if you have any underlying medical conditions.
In addition, I never recommend these beverages to children.
Let’s take a look at what’s different between the New and Original formula of Rockstar Energy Drink:
Is Rockstar Energy Drink Gluten-Free?
Pepsi’s Rockstar brand of energy drinks is well-known. There is no evidence of wheat, barley, rye, or other grains.
Hence, the beverage is gluten-free.
Check out this complete list of Rockstar Energy Gluten-Free drinks if you want to know more.
Is Rockstar Energy Drink Vegan?
Yes, both vegetarians and vegans can consume Rockstar Energy Drink. Rockstar contains synthetic taurine that is not derived from animals.
The taurine is artificial, which means there are no animal products in the natural flavors. Caramel color is typically vegan and milk thistle is a plant (which you may not know if you haven’t heard of it before).
So far, everything appears to be in order. As long as whoever wrote that statement on their website is correct, Rockstar is vegan.

It’s too high when reading it, for AHA (American Heart Association) suggests an added sugar limit from 24 to 36 grams of sugar per day.

What Does Original Rockstar Tastes Like?
This is why Rockstar energy drinks rock to the core!
The taste of Rockstar energy drink has a ginger ale vibe, strong but no yucky effects. Unlike other energy drinks, which are intimidating and have no mixture of tasteful pleasure.
Some people say that Monster Energy drink tastes weird, but I find Rockstar as tangy-er than Monster and Redbull, which is excellent. I even tried it in the Rockstar Italian soda that I get at the local cafe. And it wasn’t so bad!
If you like this kind of flavor, then you got the right can! Rockstar may have a lot of sugar, but it doesn’t give you the overwhelming sweet taste.
Just drink plenty of water afterward to be safe.
How Much Caffeine Does Rockstar Energy Drink Have?
Caffeine in energy drinks may last up to 5 hours, dividing the effect of Caffeine amount into halves.
So if you have 100mg of caffeine in your body, you’ll be flushing half of it after five hours, remaining 50mg of caffeine for the next 5 hours.
Rockstar has 160mg of caffeine per can. let’s have a little Math here:
As you drink the whole can of Rockstar, you’ll be consuming 160mg of caffeine. Therefore after 5 hours, you’ll still have 80mg of caffeine.
80mg of caffeine may take another set of hours before dividing its half-life into 40mg, and the division continues. Wow! It will take you a day to flush out all the caffeine from Rockstar.
So beware if you have trouble sleeping because Rockstar can ROCK your sleep!

All energy drinks will be bad for you if you’re consuming them too much. Rockstar energy drink has a high level of caffeine and sugar, which might be bad for you if you consume too much of it.
|On Caffeine||On Sugar|
|Irritability||Low Energy Levels|
|Increased Thirst||Low Mood|
I’m pretty sure you don’t want to experience any of these. You might have Rockstar to be your favorite drink, but still, drink responsibly.
Living the life we have nowadays, you want to get things done with your everyday task. The listed items above will only hinder you from doing everything on your list.
That’s why I’m going to be repetitive on this one, drink with caution (and don’t let your kid have it.)
How Many Cans Of Rockstars Can You Drink In A Day?
What I can recommend you is that you can drink Rockstar Energy Drink at least one can daily. It’s enough to boost yourself up and start your day!
Some people might be enjoying drinking a cold can of energy drink for pleasure, but honestly speaking – don’t.
One can is already enough, and you won’t be needing much of that anymore.
Of course, there’s still the advice general to us, drink up to 8 glasses of water every day, stay hydrated and let the sugar flush!

Conclusion: Overall Review And Rating Of Rockstar Energy Drink
Yes, Rockstar is a fantastic drink! But let’s consider it medically. I find its sugar amount very high. That’s why it is 7/10 YAY for me.
Energy drinks are delightful and it doesn’t mean that we can’t demand the manufacturers to have lower sugar levels.
I think if Rockstar does that, it will still remain one of the best energy drinks of all time since it’s trusted by many.
There I said it. I hope this will help you decide whether to have Rockstar as your energy drink, or you’re excited to try it because you read here on my article.
