Reign Energy Drink Review (Straightforward)

Reign Energy Drink is indeed a perfect drink for anyone who’s always on the go. It is one of the top energy drink brands marketed as a pre or post-workout drink.

A 16 fl. oz can of Reign Energy Drink contains 300 mg caffeine, BCAAs, B-Vitamins, 0 to 10 calories, and zero sugar.

In this article, I’ll be sharing with you my firsthand experience as a Reign drinker. Hopefully, after reading you’ll be able to come up with an informed decision if such a drink is within your taste.

If you’re ready, let’s get the ball rolling!

Is the energy drink Reign good for you?

The energy drink Reign is good for you. Reign Energy Drink is perfectly safe if you stick to the recommended serving size. Its 300 milligrams of caffeine is great for some people, but for others it can lead to sleeplessness, a racing heart, and even dependence.

Drinking an excessive amount of it at once may have some adverse effects, despite the fact that it may be beneficial for your pre-workout boost. Because of this, reducing how much you consume on a daily basis is strongly recommended.

Do you crash after drinking Reign?

You do not crash after drinking Reign. Because it does not include any sugar, Reign Energy Drink does not result in blood sugar lows or crashes. Rather, regular use of the beverage maintains blood sugar levels that are close to normal.

Consuming these components will not cause you to experience a crash because artificial sweeteners like sucralose and acesulfame potassium do not affect insulin or blood sugar levels in the body. One such example is sucralose, and another is acesulfame potassium.

Reign Energy Drink Calorie Content

Depending on the flavor, Reign Energy Drinks has a calorie content that ranges from 0 to 10 which is considered pretty low.

For comparison, an 8.4 fl. oz Red Bull contains 80 calories, while an 8 fl. oz NOS has 100 grams calories. So, Reign is something that you should pick if you’re following a low-calorie diet.

In theory, Reign could be considered an ideal caffeinated drink for someone who’s trying to lose some weight.

Still, I do not recommend drinking too much of it to avoid any of the adverse effects.

Reign Energy Drink Caffeine Content

A standard 16 fl. oz can of Reign Energy Drink contains 300 mg caffeine which is considered “high caffeine.”

For your reference, Game Fuel contains 90 mg caffeine, while Red Bull has only 80 mg caffeine.

That being said, the caffeine in Reign is pretty high and close to the recommended daily intake which is 400 mg.

I had a can of Reign before my workout session which took 30 minutes to kick in. I felt the caffeine effects throughout the whole time and I reckon it took at least 7 hours until it wore off.

Not bad, right?

As a friendly reminder, I suggest drinking it slowly to avoid caffeine shock, especially when you’re new to caffeinated beverages.

Caffeine can be both beneficial and dangerous to your health.

It can keep you alert, reduce fatigue, and can generally improve brain function.

On the other hand, excessive caffeine intake can cause these symptoms :

  • diarrhea
  • difficulty in breathing
  • high blood pressure
  • rapid heart rate
  • fatigue
  • insomnia
  • digestive issues

The thing is, people do have different reactions to caffeine which means that you might still be fine and will not suffer from any symptoms after going over the limit.

Sugar Content in Reign Energy Drink

Reign Energy Drink is sugar-free but it uses sucralose and acesulfame potassium as sweeteners.

Sucralose and acesulfame potassium are both controversial on their own but are considered safe for general use by health authorities such as FDA.

The American Heart Association proposed the following daily intake of sugar:

  • 25 g for women, which is equivalent  to 6 teaspoons
  • 36 g for men, which is equivalent to 9 teaspoons

Apart from obesity, heart diseases, and diabetes, here are the other health conditions associated with too much sugar intake:

  • fatty liver disease
  • cognitive decline
  • cancer

Speaking of sugary taste, I was quite satisfied by the candy-like flavors of Reign. Peach is my personal favorite, and trust me if you like peach-flavored things, you’ll definitely love the Peach Fizz Reign Energy Drink flavor.

CoQ10 in Reign Energy Drink

CoQ10 or Coenzyme Q10 is a vitamin-like substance that is responsible for proper body function and chemical reactions in the body.

It is an antioxidant that naturally occurs within the body and also protects cells from damage while playing a crucial role in body metabolism.

The production of CoQ10 falls due to age and diseases – probably the reason why you should consider taking the CoQ10 supplement.

CoQ10 supplements can boost athletic performance and decrease inflammation due to muscle fatigue, in this case.

Speaking of inflammation, I usually feel very achy after a long workout session and I didn’t feel pain since I started drinking Reign.

I would like to think that it might have been the CoQ10, but who knows?

The amount of CoQ10 in Reign is unknown but I would like to think that it is sufficient enough to keep me energized while doing my workout routine.

BCAAs in Reign Energy Drink

A can of Reign Energy Drink contains 1000 mg BCAAs (Branched Chain Amino Acids) to help with muscle boost and exercise performance.

The body can’t produce BCAAs, so your best shot is to consume food and drinks rich in BCAA or take some supplements.

Let’s have a look at the benefits of BCAAs:

  • reduces fatigue
  • increases muscle mass
  • lowers blood sugar level
  • reduces muscle soreness
  • enhances weight loss

In my opinion, BCAA is something that makes Reign unique and powerful. There are related studies that suggest its effectiveness in muscle building, reducing fatigue, and relieving muscle soreness.

When should I drink Reign energy?

When you should drink Reign Energy depends on your preference and needs. However, it’s recommended to drink energy drinks like Reign when a temporary energy boost is desired. This could include situations such as early mornings, before workouts or physical activities, or when needing a pick-me-up during a busy day.

However, it’s important to be mindful of the caffeine content and potential side effects. It is generally advised to avoid consuming energy drinks close to bedtime to prevent disturbances in sleep. Additionally, it’s essential to listen to your body and avoid relying solely on energy drinks for sustained energy.

Is the energy drink Reign good for you?

The healthiness of Reign energy drink is a matter of debate and individual perspective. While Reign Energy can provide a temporary energy boost due to its high caffeine content and other stimulating ingredients, it’s important to consider the potential drawbacks.

Excessive consumption of energy drinks can lead to potential side effects such as increased heart rate, elevated blood pressure, and gastrointestinal issues. It is generally recommended to consume Reign Energy Drink and similar energy drinks in moderation, if at all.

Reign Energy Drink Review

Personally, I’ll give Reign an 8 out of 10 rate.

It is indeed one of the best workout drinks available for someone who’s looking for a stronger caffeine kick.

It is packed with high-quality ingredients that works well as an energy booster. Reign is also a sugar-free and low-calorie drink which makes it a great choice someone following a sugar-free or low-calorie diet.

I am not saying that it is a healthy drink but it certainly delivers the strength that you need for the entire day.

As a bonus, you’ll get to choose from different flavors which are all tasty and deliciously blend!

In addition, here are a few pros and cons that you should be aware of:

Pros

  • affordable
  • it contains a dose of caffeine designed to give you an energy boost

Cons

  • too much of it can give you an extreme headache

Don’t worry too much about the downsides – you’ll be fine as long as you drink Reign in moderation.

How often can you drink Reign Energy Drink?

My honest answer would be – you can drink Reign Energy Drink every day or once in a while as long as you promise to limit your intake to one can each time.

The caffeine content in Reign is pretty high and it is unsafe to keep drinking it regularly, especially in high dose.

If you’re someone who hit the gym daily, it should be fine to drink a can of Reign before your workout session.

From my perspective, I would say consuming energy drinks twice a week is ideal. That way, you will not be at risk of overdosing, plus the caffeine from your previous intake should have been flushed out of your system by then.

Energy drinks are addictive in nature. It would be pretty hard to convince yourself not to grab a second can. But you better not do it to avoid risking your overall health!

Alternatives to Reign Energy Drink

If you’re curious to try something similar to Reign, here are a few good ones:

Conclusion

All in all, Reign has a charm that will make you want to recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a sugar-free and low calorie energy drink .

The caffeine in Reign is probably its most appealing (and nasty) quality, depending on your caffeine metabolism rate and intake.

It does not contain sugar and has a low calorie count which makes it even more appealing to most people.

It contains the right formula and each flavor taste amazing. I’d say it is a pretty powerful energy drink based on the ingredients.

But I don’t really recommend regular use of it, unless you’re up for some kind of extreme physical activities.

Excessive intake of energy drinks such as Reign can lead to various health conditions such as poor oral health, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, a bad case of acne, and more.

That being said, the secret to enjoying a drink like Reign is to consume it responsibly.

So, that’s pretty much it from me. Go grab a can of Reign now!
