The Caffeine Content of Rip It

Caffeine can be sourced through coffee beans

There’s 160mg of caffeine in a serving of Rip It which is enough to get you boosted with energy.

Compared to the maximum recommended intake of 400mg amount daily from the FDA, Rip It offers lower. Despite the amount included in this drink, it’s already enough for you to get boosted.

If you drink the right amount, you get the following benefits:

  • Better Mental Functioning
  • Burned Fat
  • Improved Physical Performance
  • Lowered Risks of Type 2 Diabetes
  • Protection from Neurodegenerative Conditions
  • Protection for the Liver
  • Lower Risks of Depression

On the other hand, excessive consumption of caffeine can damage your body. Without any moderation, these side effects may occur:

  • Anxiety
  • Insomnia
  • Digestive Issues
  • Muscle Breakdown
  • Addiction
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Quick Heart Rate
  • Fatigue
  • Frequent Urination

You should be familiar with how much caffeine you can consume before drinking. Your caffeine tolerance differs from one person to another, and who knows if 160mg of caffeine is too much or too little for you.

I suggest you consult a doctor first before taking any caffeine-induced products to get familiarized with how much caffeine you can consume safely.

Sugar Content of Rip It

In one can of Rip It, there’s 26mg of sugar and an artificial sweetener called ‘Sucralose’.

Let’s start with the heavy sugar content included in the drink.

The American Heart Association (AHA) recommends that the sugar limit for women daily is 24mg, which means that the 26mg in Rip It is over the limit. However, men are limited to 36mg of sugar per day, which is below.

Despite that, this still proves that the sugar content in Rip It is very hefty for one serving.

Too much sugar can cause Tooth Decay

With that being said, there will be side effects when overconsuming the ingredient, and this includes:

  • High Glucose Levels
  • Increased Risks of Obesity
  • Higher Risks of Heart Disease
  • Higher Risks of Diabetes
  • Hindered Immunity Functions
  • Chromium Deficiency
  • Faster Aging
  • Higher Risks of Tooth Decay
  • Higher Risks of Gum Disease
  • Stress

However, if sugar is taken in healthy amounts, it will bring good outcomes on your health:

  • Increased Energy Levels
  • Stronger Immune System
  • Better Sleep
  • Improved Gut Health
  • Weight Loss

Is Having Sugar and Sucralose Together Bad?

Drinking in moderation will be safe. However, it isn’t advised.

As mentioned earlier, Sucralose is used as an artificial sweetener. You might be wondering what this ingredient might be.

Sucralose is a sweetener with no calories. It’s also chemically changed to be 600 times sweeter than regular sugar.

The thing is, there’s already such a huge amount of sugar in the drink, and to have Sucralose alongside is unnecessary for the drink. The only use for it is to make the drink sweeter.

As long as you’re drinking it moderately, then it won’t be bad for you. Just be aware of the sugar content and the artificial sweetener added to the drink.

To learn more about Sucralose, I recommend watching this short video:

Can You Drink Rip It Energy Drink Every Day?

Since the caffeine content is below the limit, you can drink Rip It energy every day. However, I don’t recommend you do so.

For starters, the 160mg of caffeine in the drink is equal to about 1-2 cups of coffee, which is enough for you to increase your energy levels. In my opinion, drinking it more than once a day would be too much.

Moreover, if you drink it twice in a day, you consume 320mg, which is close to the 400mg limit recommended by the FDA. It’s best to drink what’s needed or else the side effects will occur.

In addition to this, sugar and Sucralose is too much for an average adult to consume. The unnecessary Sucralose and the heavy 26g of sugar would produce negative effects in the body if you drink more than once.

Even if drinking it once a day would be fine, it would lead you to a possible caffeine addiction. It isn’t ideal to have this side effect when you’re only trying to boost your energy.

If you still plan to drink it daily, remember to drink responsibly.

With regards to caffeine, it isn’t a concern since it’s below the 400mg limit for an average adult can consume. 160mg of caffeine is also the right amount to get an energy boost unless you’re someone reliant on caffeine.

Energy drinks can have a role in certain contexts. They provide a quick energy boost through caffeine and other ingredients, which can help enhance alertness and combat temporary fatigue. For some, they offer convenience during busy periods or before workouts.

However, energy drinks aren’t essential for overall well-being. A balanced diet, hydration, regular exercise, and sufficient sleep are more crucial for sustained energy levels. Final Thoughts

Rip It Energy’s 160mg of caffeine is enough to get you boosted. However, 26g of sugar and the added Sucralose is going to be a problem you decide to drink Rip It regularly.

It’s not necessarily bad for your health as long as you consume in moderation.

In my opinion, if they’ve lowered the sugar content and removed the unnecessary artificial sweetener, then it would be an okay energy drink. These two ingredients when consumed in an unhealthy amount would easily affect your health negatively.

The amount of caffeine in Rip It is enough because it’s the right amount for you to get higher energy levels, especially for heavy workloads.

Again, I don’t suggest drinking this regularly, rather consume the energy drink in moderation to be safe from any health.

Consult your medical professional to see your caffeine limit. To get the best effects out the drink, I suggest drinking one can at most per day.
