How Many Cans of Reign Can You Drink in a Day?

One can of Reign Energy Drink a day is enough to keep you active and energized throughout the day.

It is best to stick to one can of Reign Energy Drink per day to avoid palpitations, tremors, vomiting, and other symptoms related to caffeine overdose.

When you’re having a good time with your friends or in the zone doing your workout routines, it can be easy to lose track of the number of energy drinks you’ve had.

Aside from this, most energy drink brands have a flavorful taste that is almost addictive.

Despite this, you should still pay attention to your energy drink consumption because too much of it might lead to some health complications.

You should keep in mind that just because a drink is sugar-free or has many nutrients in it doesn’t mean you can consume it every day.

For this article, I’ll aim to answer the question – how many cans of Reign can you drink in a day?

Hopefully, after reading you’ll realize why you shouldn’t overindulge even if you feel like you need more boost.

Let’s begin by exploring whether or not drinking Reign every day is bad for you.

Is Drinking Reign Every Day Bad For You?

The answer depends on how many you consume in a day.

If you’re a healthy adult with no existing medical conditions, then it may be safe to drink one can of Reign Energy Drink every day.

You can also drink one can every day if you frequently exercise or are building up your muscles.

That is because Reign is a fitness beverage formulated to reduce muscle fatigue and soreness during exercise. It would be more effective to consume this energy drink before or after your fitness regimen.

However, it’s a whole different story if you have existing ailments and low caffeine tolerance.

For a quick background, Reign contains 300 mg of caffeine, an amount that is unusually high when compared to other energy drinks.

With this much caffeine, you can rely on Reign to give you a sustained energy boost. But if your body can’t handle this much of the stimulant, the effect might be counterproductive.

Personally, I always caution myself and my friends about regularly consuming energy drinks because it is not meant to replace proper meals.

One energy drink every other day might be okay if you consume it to increase your energy levels and improve your fitness, but you should not rely on it every time.

Instead, you should maintain a proper and nutritious diet and have complete hours of rest to build up your natural energy levels.

How Long Does it Take for Reign to Start Working?

Reign starts working from 20 to 45 minutes after consumption. Within this range, you’ll notice an improvement in focus or alertness because the caffeine is being absorbed by the body.

Caffeine is a nervous system stimulant that is commonly added to beverages. It has natural properties that fight fatigue and tiredness.

This stimulant is directly absorbed by the body from the gut to the bloodstream so you quickly feel energized.

According to experts, on average, caffeine is absorbed by the body within 45 minutes when consumed as food, beverage, or supplements. After absorption, it then peaks in the blood within 1 hour and remains there for 4 to 6 hours.

To know exactly which energy drinks take effect longer, base it on the amount of caffeine consumed.

As a general rule, the higher the caffeine level, the longer the effect.

The average halflife of caffeine in the blood is about 5 hours. This means five hours later, half the amount of the caffeine you consume would still be present in your bloodstream.

In the case of Reign, 150 mg of caffeine would remain in your body after five whole hours.

Are Reign Energy Drinks Healthy?

Reign is best consumed before or after exercise.

Reign Energy Drinks may be considered healthy because they contain B3, B6, B12, amino acids, and CoQ10. However, the main risk is its high caffeine levels.

Reign Energy Drink is also packed with a lot of supplements that have promising health benefits.

From its B-Vitamins, you can get healthy skin (B3), increased red blood cells (B6), and an improved nervous system (B12).

On top of these, you also get incredible benefits from the three types of amino acids present in Reign Energy Drink.

  • L-Isoleucine– important for immune function, hemoglobin production, and energy regulation
  • L-Valine– stimulate muscle growth, facilitated energy production
  • L-Leucine– helps muscle repair and protein synthesis regulates blood sugar levels, helps wound healing, and produces growth hormones

Aside from that, Reign Inferno, an upgrade from Reign’s usual formulation, has the following additional supplements:

For reference, these are the different flavors of Reign Inferno.

  • Reign Inferno Red Dragon
  • Reign Inferno Jalapeno Strawberry
  • Reign Inferno True Blu
  • Reign Inferno Watermelon

How Many Cans of Reign Can You Drink in a Day?

One can a day.

You should only drink one can of Reign per a day to remain within the suggested limit of caffeine intake.

As we have discussed a while ago, Reign contains a huge amount of caffeine and this amount is close to the 400 mg caffeine limit set by the FDA.

So, while Reign is entirely sugar-free and has minimal calories, its caffeine level restricts the number of energy drinks you should consume in a day.

Exceeding the recommended amount of caffeine will likely lead to serious health effects due to caffeine overdose.

Some of the symptoms of excess caffeine in the body include:

  • feeling more awake or alert
  • feeling restless, anxious, or irritable
  • increased body temperature
  • dehydration
  • headache
  • faster breathing
  • faster heart rate

The more serious symptoms of caffeine overdose includes:

  • very fast or irregular heartbeat
  • shakiness
  • feeling sick or vomiting
  • confusion
  • panic attack

Over time, caffeine overdose may lead to serious damage to the nervous system. This is exactly why you should take the set caffeine limit seriously.

I also want to emphasize that caffeinated beverages are not for pregnant and nursing women, children, and teenagers, as well as people with existing medical conditions.

It is best to only consume Reign when you have a good health and high caffeine tolerance.

Reign Energy Drink Side Effects

The main side effects of consuming Reign Energy Drinks are caffeine overdose and heart problems if consumption is abused.

Reign has a high amount of caffeine level which means it poses a high risk of caffeine toxicity.

Generally, energy drinks are only recommended to healthy adults who can handle a large number of stimulants in their bodies.

This is because children and people under medication may feel the heightened effects of caffeine in their body.

In fact, a study from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston found that having just one energy drink had a bad effect on the flow of blood through the arteries, which may eventually lead to serious heart problems.

Aside from that, there are medical journals that show that the negative health effects of caffeine are amplified in adolescents.

Because of their age, weight, and metabolism, children and teens may experience heightened effects from the high amounts of caffeine, sugars, and stimulants.

How Many Energy Drinks Cause Heart Attacks?

The answer depends on the brand, caffeine level, and health of the consumer.

As far as I know, there have been reports of heart problems after consuming two cans of energy drinks.

Heart problem is a serious health risk you may face if you abuse your energy drink consumption.

With the growing number of energy drink consumers, more and more people in the health community are concerned about both the short and long-term effects of energy drinks on the body.

One study shows that people who drank 32 ounces of energy drinks or an equivalent of two regular 16 fl. oz cans had abnormal activity in their hearts.

Aside from this, they also observed higher blood pressure for four hours.

This is why my personal rule is to drink no more than one can of energy drink a day, especially if an energy drink contains high levels of caffeine.

It’s also crucial that you remain mindful of other caffeinated beverages like coffee and tea when you consume Reign or other energy drinks. This is because the caffeine will accumulate in your system and eventually exceed the daily limit.

The FDA, in a news report, shared their investigation following a lawsuit filed by the parents of a 14-year-old from Hagerstown, Maryland who died after drinking two 24-ounce Monster Energy Drinks in one day.

The autopsy revealed that the teenager died of cardiac arrhythmia due to caffeine toxicity. She has underlying conditions that weakened her blood vessels.

Excess caffeine consumption is no joke as it can easily lead to life-threatening incidents, especially if you have underlying medical conditions.

Alternatives to Reign Energy Drink

If you’re in the mood for something else, here’s a good list of alternative energy drinks you can try:

Final Words

You should strictly limit your consumption of Reign Energy Drink to one can a day.

If you decide to consume it every day, make sure your body can handle its high caffeine levels.

It’s also crucial that you monitor other caffeinated beverages you consume in a day because the stimulant in your body will accumulate and could lead to caffeine overdose.

Reign Energy Drink is a very good choice of a fitness drink. It has zero sugars, minimal amount of calories, and various vitamins and supplements.

The key is to not overdo your consumption. Be smart and disciplined. Your goal is to help your body achieve more but not at the expense of your health.

That’s it for me, I hope you picked up something valuable here!

Remember to consume Reign according to your body’s caffeine tolerance. Drink responsibly!
