GG energy by Gamer Supps is a popular supplement among esports athletes and gamers.
Unlike most other carbonated energy drinks, it comes in packets rather than bottles or cans. So, if you’re looking for a ready-to-drink energy drink, then you might want to skip this one.
Since it’s a powdered energy drink, you need to dissolve it in water. You can dissolve in cold and/or room temperature. It also comes in a variety of flavors which are a plus to me.
That’s for my initial review. Let’s get it thoroughly by starting with its ingredients.
Let’s get started.

GG Energy Drink Caffeine Content
Each serving of GG energy drinks includes 100mg of organic caffeine.
According to the FDA, healthy adults can actually consume a maximum of 400mg of caffeine each day. Although 100mg is a moderate dose, considering the serving size of 1.6g, that’s quite a lot.
However, I suggest limiting your consumption to only one serving per day. Based on this study, consuming caffeine at a moderate amount has the following benefits:
- Improves physical endurance
- Enhance cognitive function
- Increase alertness and concentration
- Boost mood and reaction
- Lower the risk of fatigue
- Lower the risk of oral cancer
- Lower the risk of strokes for older women
You can still consume a GG energy drink as long as you won’t go overboard with your caffeine consumption.
Take note that the caffeine content of GG energy drinks is not included in the supplement facts, but you may visit their official website to verify it.
How Much Sugar Does GG Energy Contains?
GG energy contains zero sugar. However, the product includes Erythritol, an artificial sweetener that’s meant to substitute sugar.
Erythritol, similar to non-calorie sweeteners like Sucralose and Ace-K, provides a diet-friendly solution. Aside from that, this energy drink also has a sweet antioxidant.
Although recognized as safe by the FDA, artificial sweeteners may have negative health consequences if consumed excessively.
Despite the fact that this energy drink is sugar-free, it’s still important to keep track of your sugar consumption, particularly AHA‘s recommended daily sugar intake in order to gauge how much sugar your body can manage.
AHA states that the maximum amount of sugar you can consume per day is 9 teaspoons, which is equivalent to 36g (150 calories) for males, and 6 teaspoons, which is comparable to 25g (100 calories) for women.
Sugar has a few advantages when consumed in moderation, including:
- Gives you a massive burst of energy
- Stock your energy to be utilized later
- Boost your mood right away
- Help improve your concentration

How Much Calorie Does GG Energy Contains?
GG Energy is a calorie-free energy drink. If you’re on a diet, this energy drink is a good choice.
Although calories are necessary for our bodies, you may not want to consume too many of them because excessive calorie intake can lead to weight gain.
Furthermore, the NHS explains that the maximum daily calorie intake one must consume ranges from 2,000 for women to 2500 kcal for men.
If you’re thinking of switching to calorie-free energy drinks, take a look at this post I published about it.
Is GG Energy Drink Good For You?
GG energy drink is good for you as long as you don’t have any health issues.
If you want something to replace your morning coffee, this is the one to go for. Despite the brand’s main markets are gamers and esports athletes, it’s not exclusive to them, so you can give it a shot.
Is GG Energy Drink Bad For You?
GG energy drink is not harmful to your health as long as you don’t go overboard with your consumption.
Children, pregnant women, and caffeine-sensitive individuals are not advised to take GG energy drinks since they’re more vulnerable to side effects:
- Children
Children are not advised to consume energy drinks, particularly those with a large dose of caffeine. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, extreme restlessness, and other side effects are possible to happen if consumed excessively.
- Pregnant
Caffeine is also not recommended for pregnant women. Too much caffeine consumption during pregnancy has been linked to miscarriage and poor birth weight.
- Caffeine sensitive
Individuals who have poor tolerance to caffeine are also not advised to consume GG energy drinks and other highly caffeinated beverages for their health’s sake. They may experience trembling, jitters, headaches, insomnia, anxiety, and many more.
What Happens When You Drink GG Energy Drink?
GG energy drink is one of the gaming energy drinks available on the market. They’re one of the few companies that sell their products in tubs and scoops instead of bottles and cans.
Although I’m not fond of using tubs and scoops, I tried to drink them a few times.
I drink them in the morning on an empty stomach before heading to work and in the afternoon as a refreshment after eating my lunch.
To get the taste I wanted, I usually use two scoops. You don’t want to add another scoop since it’ll make you feel jittery.
Remember to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
How Long Would It Take For GG To Kick In?
It takes 10-15 minutes for the caffeine to enter your bloodstream, but the other ingredients will last up to 12 hours in your system.
Since GG energy drink is not a ready-to-drink beverage, you have to make some effort before you can take a sip.
Does GG Energy Drink Actually Work?
GG energy drink is a good caffeine booster and it works for me. However, it doesn’t guarantee that it’ll work for you. So, I recommend that you test it for yourself.
Aside from its 100mg caffeine content, this energy drink also contains powerful ingredients such as antioxidants, B-vitamins, and electrolytes.
It doesn’t give me chest pain, which I really appreciate.
I know you’re interested to learn more about this energy drink, so check out my other articles here.
Can You Drink GG Energy Drink Every Day?
If you’re a healthy adult and don’t have any medical condition, then you can consume a GG energy drink every day.
However, I still recommend limiting yourself to one per day.
Although 100mg caffeine content is below the FDA’s recommended caffeine limit, consuming caffeine on a daily basis will make you develop a caffeine addiction.
You have to keep in mind that energy drinks contain twice as much caffeine as regular soda and coffee, making you more prone to caffeine-related health problems.
Are GG Energy Drink Healthy?
According to the brand, their aim is to make esports athletes and gamers stay active and alert while enjoying their favorite GG energy drink during their critical times.
In fact, GG energy drink claims that…
- Keto Friendly – This indicates that all of the ingredients in the GG energy drink have less carbohydrates and more of protein.
- Organic Caffeine – GG energy drink includes naturally occurring caffeine extracted from tea leaves or coffee bean.
- Calorie-free – Calorie-free products usually have less than 5 kcal per serving.
- Nootropics – Nootropics are smart drugs that were intended to improve one’s focus and alertness, according to this study. However, further research is needed to confirm its effectiveness.
- Electrolytes– Electrolytes are minerals that have an electric charge and are found in your blood and other bodily fluids. It helps to keep your body’s fluid levels in check.
Can I drink Celsius while fasting?
The answer to whether you can drink Celsius while fasting depends on the type of fast you’re doing. For intermittent fasting, Celsius can be consumed during the feeding window without interfering with fasting goals.
It’s best to consult with a healthcare professional or registered dietitian to determine individual health needs.
Is GG Energy Drink FDA Approved?
GG energy drink is not regulated by the FDA, but many products are produced in FDA-approved facilities.
Take note that it’s the manufacturer’s obligation to ensure that their products are safe before they’re disseminated and sold.
Dietary supplements are not approved by the FDA. They’re not authorized to examine it for safety and efficacy.
Is GG caffeine free?
GG also offers a caffeine-free version of their energy formula. This version still has the same taste and mixability as the original formula, but without the added caffeine.
This makes it a good option for those who are sensitive to caffeine or who want to avoid consuming stimulants.
How does GG Energy Drink Taste Like?
GG energy drink doesn’t have a chemical taste which I prefer compared to other energy drinks with a strong flavor.
I like the Blue Razz flavor and I tried to drink it a few times. However, I find it a little bland with one scoop.
The sachet stated that it was for two servings, so I tried my best to stay within that limit.
There is no sugar crash, which I thought helpful. We all have various preferences when it comes to the flavor of energy drinks, therefore I recommend that you give it a try.

GG Energy Drink Price

Aside from GG energy drink, you might want to consider the following options.
Conclusion
If you’re looking for a non-jittery punch with a moderate caffeine dose, then GG energy drink is a good option.
The 100mg caffeine content kept me going for a couple of hours and didn’t leave me feeling jittery. Aside from that, this energy drink also has a sweet antioxidant.
I like the fact that they provide a free sample so that you can still choose whether to purchase it or not.
The flavors aren’t that bad at all and the price is reasonable in my opinion.
However, you’ll find it a bit frustrating since they don’t reveal how much caffeine is in their ingredients; Instead, you have to check it on their website.
Overall, I think GG energy drink is a fantastic pick so I’d rate it a 7 out of 10.
