Bang Energy Ingredients Label Info (Analysis)

In brief: The major ingredients present in Bang are vitamins, flavoring, preservatives, and supplements.

The ingredients label is one of two important labels printed on the packaging of any energy drink. It is a detailed list of all the ingredients used to create a particular energy drink.

Most people don’t really pay attention to these ingredients because they are content with what’s written on the nutritional value.

However, the ingredients label tells us a lot of information, some of which may not be on the nutrition facts label. For instance, it tells us about the kind of preservatives added and other supplements present in the beverage.

If you want to learn more about the Bang ingredient label and info, keep reading.

Listed out like this, the ingredients list might look daunting. However, you have nothing to worry about as we’ll try to approach each important ingredient systematically.

Let’s start with the vitamins.

Vitamins

Bang is rich in B Vitamins and Vitamin C.

The kinds of vitamins present in Bang are Vitamin C and three variants of B Vitamins, namely Vitamin B3, Vitamin B6, and Vitamin B12.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin. This means it is a vitamin that can dissolve in water. Unfortunately, essential nutrients like this can’t be synthesized in the body, so we need to replenish our Vitamin C intake every day.

Drinking Bang Energy Drink could be your regular source of Vitamin C. It’s very accessible and easy to consume. Just one can of Bang and your body’s already filled with Vitamin C.

To encourage you to take Vitamin C, here are some of its many benefits on the body:

  • antioxidant properties- helps remove harmful substances in the body
  • aids iron absorption
  • strengthens the immune system
  • promotes wound healing
  • helps manage high-blood pressure
  • lowers the risk of heart disease
  • promotes good memory

B-Vitamins

Another advantage of drinking Bang is the range of B-Vitamins you’re consuming, such as Vitamin B3, Vitamin B6, and Vitamin B12, all of which offer unique benefits for the body.

Like Vitamin C, Vitamin B is another water-soluble vitamin. Because the body doesn’t store this vitamin either, there’s little to no risk of vitamin overdose

Vitamin B can also be grouped into eight different nutrients, with each variety performing a distinct function in the body’s overall well-being.

Let’s take a closer look at the benefits of different B-Vitamins in the body.

Types of B VitaminNameBenefits
B1Thiaminehelp in digesting fats
B2Riboflavinfights free radicals
B3Niacingood for the skin
B5Pantothenic Acidincreases energy and strengthens the immune system
B6Pyridoxinepromotes healthy metabolism
B7Biotingood for metabolism and promotes healthy skin, hair, and nails
B9Folategood for the nervous system
B12Cobalaminaids production of red blood cells and nerve cells
All types of B vitamins and their benefits on the body.

Unlike other energy drink brands, I love that Bang contains not only one but three types of B-Vitamins.

You can easily reap the wonderful benefits of these three B-Vitamins in just one can.

Essential Amino Acids

Bang is also packed with all nine essential amino acids needed by the body!

Bang Energy Drink contains all nine essential amino acids: EAAs (L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, L-Valine, L-Lysine, L-Threonine, L-Phenylalanine, L-Histidine, L-Methionine, and L-Tryptophan).

Essential Amino Acids are important to the body. The body does not naturally synthesize any of these, so they have to be taken from food.

Bang contains all kinds of essential amino acids. Personally, I think this is the main selling point of Bang Energy Drink.

Not only do you get vitamins, but you also get a supplement of all the needed amino acids in the body.

For you to appreciate the importance of amino acids, here is a brief description of each one.

Type of Amino AcidFunctions
Phenylalaninefacilitate the production of proteins and enzymes
Valinemuscle growth and regeneration
Threonineproduction of skin and connective tissue
Tryptophanhelps regulate appetite, sleep, and mood
Methioninedetoxification and metabolism
Leucineregulate sugar level
Isoleucinestrengthens immune system
Lysinesynthesis of protein, energy production
Histidineprotects nerve cells
Tabular list of all essential amino acids and their unique health benefits.

The table above shows you the function of each amino acid. These amino acids provide a wide array of physical and mental benefits to the body.

This is why I consider Bang Energy Drink as one of the “better” energy drink brands on the market today.

Preservatives

There are two kinds of preservatives in Bang Energy Drink, mainly: Sodium Benzoate and Potassium Sorbate, both of which are used to preserve freshness.

Let’s take a detailed look at the properties of each one, starting with sodium benzoate.

Sodium Benzoate

Sodium Benzoate is a common preservative added to food, beverages, medicines, and cosmetic products to extend its shelf life.

The Food and Drug Administration generally approves the use of sodium benzoate as a food additive. However, there is also a study that associates the consumption of sodium benzoate with increased hyperactivity among children.

Aside from that, there is also research that shows sodium benzoate may be harmful when combined with Vitamin C because it turns into benzene, a chemical that is linked with cancer. Although the findings are inconclusive at best, I think it’s important you’re aware of the side effects you might be at risk of.

Now, let’s move on to another preservative called Potassium Sorbate.

Potassium Sorbate

Potassium Sorbate is another popular preservative that prolongs the shelf life of food by preventing the growth of mold, yeast, and fungi.

Like sodium benzoate, the FDA also considers potassium sorbate as a safe preservative for general use.

Many energy drinks and carbonated beverages use potassium sorbate in their products, so it’s not really exclusive to Bang.

At the end of the day, I think as long as health authorities approve of it, there’s no real reason to be worried about the presence of preservatives in a beverage.

If you would like to know more about preservatives and how it is used in beverages like energy drinks, make sure to watch this video.

What do experts say about the use of preservatives?

Supplements

There are two notable supplements in Bang that are worth discussing. These are creatine and CoQ10, both of which are rarely present in other energy drink brands.

Creatine

Creatine is an amino acid that boosts physical and mental focus. It is also the main featured ingredient of Bang Energy Drink.

Naturally, creatine is synthesized by the body and is commonly found in the brain and muscle areas.

Our organs, such as the liver, kidneys, and pancreas, naturally create creatine. However, research reveals that additional supplements of creatine enhance athletic performance and muscle development.

Experts rule that creatine is safe for general use as long as it is limited to 3-5 grams per day.

Aside from muscle-enhancing benefits, creatine is also used to treat other health conditions, such as Parkinson’s disease and depression.

Super Creatine

Bang Energy Drinks contain Super Creatine that’s bonded to L-leucine, which is an amino acid that improves mental focus.

However, upon closer inspection, you can see that super creatine actually just refers to creatine. The “super” added before this naturally occurring amino acid is something Bang Energy Drink took and made their own to stand out from the energy drinks on the market.

Super creatine, as a chemical compound, doesn’t exist. Although Bang is formulated with a kind of creatine that’s bonded with L-leucine, it really isn’t that much different from regular creatine. It simply touts the benefits of creatine.

CoQ10 (Coenzyme Q10)

Another supplement present in Bang is Coenzyme Q10, which is an antioxidant that guards cells against damage and promotes metabolism.

Like creatine, CoQ10 is also naturally synthesized by the body. But levels of CoQ10 decrease as we age so it’s really important to include this in your daily diet.

Here are some of the great benefits of CoQ10 for the body:

  • improve heart health
  • reduce muscle pain
  • treat migraine headaches
  • protect against age-related diseases

What fake sugar is in Bang?

The fake sugar in Bang is Sucralose. Sucralose, better known by its brand name Splenda, is a widely used sugar substitute. Leucine, Isoleucine, Valine, Creatine, and Caffeine are bitter. These chemicals mask the bitter taste of energy drinks and pre-workout drinks. Use Sucralose and Ace-K. Sugar substitutes elevate blood sugar.

Ace-K, like sucralose, is used as a sugar substitute in many diet goods. It is found in sugar-free versions of popular energy drinks like Red Bull, Rockstar, and Monster. Ace-K, like sucralose, has been studied in rodents. Ace-K has been related to cancer, thyroid problems, and alterations in brain function, according to the studies.

What ingredient in Bang gives you energy?

The ingredient in Bang that gives you energy is caffeine and sucralose. High-sugar drinks raise blood sugar, triggering metabolic mayhem and sugar crashes. Creatine, Caffeine, and BCAAs feed Bang’s brain and body (Branched Chain Amino Acids) are also potent in the drink, which can give more energy.

BCAAs are necessary dietary proteins. Muscles use amino acids for energy. Leucine, isoleucine, and valine are BCAAs. Essential amino acids are ones the body can’t make. The three amino acids that make up the branched-chain amino acids are leucine, isoleucine, and valine.

Are Bang Energy Drinks healthy?

YES or NO. Is Bang Energy Drink really healthy?

Bang can be considered as a healthy beverage because it provides plenty of benefits from the vitamins, essential amino acids, and supplements present in its formulation.

Honestly, I don’t think other energy drink brands contain the same number of ingredients that are beneficial to the body.

If there is anything that could pose risks in Bang Energy Drink, it is the type of sugar present.

Let’s explore these two sugars briefly: Sucralose and Acesulfame Potassium.

Sucralose

Bang uses sucralose, which is a zero-calorie artificial sweetener.

This is actually good news because sucralose is a much better alternative than high-fructose corn syrup that is common in energy drinks.

A zero-calorie sweetener means you get to enjoy the delicious taste of the drink without having to worry about weight gain, elevated sugar levels, and blood pressure.

Let’s move onto another type of sweetener in Bang.

Acesulfame Potassium

Like sucralose, Acesulfame Potassium is another calorie-free sugar substitute.

It is said to be 200 times sweeter than ordinary sugar but without the corresponding calorie baggage.

This is another good point for Bang because this ensures the sweet taste of the energy drink without the negative side-effects of high sugar intake.

Does Bang have a warning label?

Bang Energy Drinks typically have a warning label. These labels typically contain important information about the product, such as the presence of high caffeine content, recommended serving size, and advisories for certain groups like pregnant or nursing women, children, or individuals sensitive to caffeine.

It’s important to read and understand the warning label before consuming any energy drink to ensure safe and responsible use.

What products require a warning label?

Warning labels are required on products that pose potential risks to consumers, including those containing hazardous substances, certain food items, and products with specific usage guidelines or health risks.

These labels provide important information about potential hazards, proper usage, and precautions.

Final Word

In conclusion, the ingredients label in Bang confirms it is a “better” energy drink brand.

The combination of vitamins, supplements, and essential amino acids ensures Bang is a relatively acceptable energy drink.

Aside from that, we also found out that all the types of sugar in Bang are calorie-free. This means you can enjoy its sweet flavorful taste without the guilt!

The zero-calorie sugar substitute keeps you away from the adverse effects of high sugar consumption.

Most energy drinks just sell a sugar-free version, but the regular can of Bang already contains an excellent sugar substitute.

I hope you were able to learn a thing or two about the ingredients label of Bang. You can also apply what you read here when you inspect the ingredient label of other energy drink brands!
